hairfactoree x honey & co.

if you saw them on the streets you'd think the girls from honey & co. were the girl band that you always dreamed of being a part of (assuming this is true of guys too).  each of their styles is effortless and cool and their hair and makeup always looks perfect in the way like they woke up with it that way. so when they asked me to do a hair collaboration i thought they were going to do my hair ;)

turns out, they arent a girl band... they are EVENT PLANNERS. who wouldn't want their event planned by 3 of the coolest girls you've met. i bet people plan events just to hang out with them.

i taught them some things about styling their own hair that we wanted to share with the world...

there are 3 hunnies so we did 3 different dos

todays feature is amy.  i love old hollywood glam especially on blondes so we decided to go for that kind of a look.

first, part your hair to the side farther than usual (unless you usually part it really far to the side)

section out your bang and curl that first. curl it by taking your curling iron to the base of the hair and curling the hair closest to your scalp and then moving the hair through the barrel and curling until your ends are in the iron.  after you curl a section clip each section up to get the look to last longer and to correct any part that didnt get curled, this is called setting your style.

after you let the curls down from the pins they are going to be bouncy and smooth and then you are going to do the bravest thing you have ever done in your life, brush your curls out. people are afraid to do it but when the curls are set right they look so beautiful brushed through, so from the wise words of nike, just do it!

then pull the hair from your weaker part to the side of your strong part in the back.  you can back comb the section of hair in your nape to get the pins to stay in place, otherwise just pin the hair on the side of your nape behind your ear. id double pin it. and even crossing your pins helps keep them in place.

put a pin in your bang to set the bang and give it shape. you can leave this in place while you do your makeup or finish getting ready or while you read a book. but if you are going to read a book make it a good one like james and the giant peach or The Bible.

I am also a firm believer in shaking it to make your hair look lived in before you go out. Everything looks best when it seems effortless so give your hair a shake. looks like amys dance move of choice was the upper body pop.

desk drumroll please,

ladies and gentlemen, here she is, looking fine as ever... ALSO, CAN WE TAKE A MINUTE TO DISCUSS HER LASHES.

stay tuned for the next honey
